INSTRUCTOR OF QI GONG

 

TEACHING CONCEPT: Qi Gong – Level 1 involves the acquisition of basic Qigong (Chi Kung) skills, and techniques: breathing exercises, relaxation, concentration and introduction to higher forms of Qigong.

 

THEORETICAL PROGRAM:

  • Introduction.
  • History of Qigong. Relationship to Traditional Chinese Medicine.
  • Origin of Luohan Gong. From Bodhidharma to Today.
  • Luohan System Description: its 3 basic shapes and features.
  • Essential concepts in Qigong.
  • Energy and its flow – Main Meridians and collaterals.
  • Theory of Yin and Yang.
  • Basic Concepts in Qigong: Breathing, Concentration, Relaxation and Movement.
  • The 4 Rules in Learning and Training in Qigong.
  • Fundamental Breathing. Application of Abdominal or Diaphragmatic Breathing. The Three Levels of Breathing.
  • Reactions in the practice of Qigong: Normal, Abnormal, and Contraindications.

 

PRACTICAL PROGRAM:

  • Zhan Zhuang: Body Movement and Posture.
  • Breathing Techniques.
  • Relaxation Techniques.
  • Concentration Techniques. Static Qigong.
  • Visualization Techniques.
  • Basic Qigong Breathing Exercises .
  • Qigong Toning Exercises.
  • Qigong Relaxation Exercises.
  • Spinal Stretching and Relaxation Exercises.
  • The 8 Jewels -Ba Duan Jin- Qigong Board Exercises.
  • Self Massage in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

 

COURSE WORK TIMEFRAME:

* CLASSROOM COURSE:
TOTAL 120 hours – Minimum course duration: Three Months.
HOURS ATTEND THEM: Three weekends of 16 hours each. Total 48 hours.
HOURS OF AUTO-STUDY: 72 hours.
